depart from O’Hare International Airport to Copenhagen, Denmark. Or request
international departure from the city of your choice, dependent upon
availability. |

| DAY 2:
Wednesday, July 7 |
| Copenhagen - Roskilde -
Odense (B on flight, D) |
| Early
afternoon arrival in Copenhagen. Transfer by bus to the town of Roskilde.
Tour the amazing Viking Ship Museum. The Museum has its own boat yard with a
staff of six boat builders, a boat builder apprentice and a rope maker
apprentice. The boat yard’s specialty is reconstruction of prehistoric boats
in full size according to original methods. In 2008, the
Viking ship “The Sea
Stallion” sailed from Roskilde
to Dublin and back in much the same way as the original ship sailed over a
thousand years ago. Continue to the island of Fyn to Odense, boyhood home of
Hans Christian Andersen. Dinner and overnight in Odense. |

Thursday, July 8 |
| Odense - Billund - Århus (B,
D) |
| This
morning visit the Hans Christian Andersen Museum in Odense. Free time to
visit the quaint shops or enjoy a stroll. Travel through the Danish mainland
of Jutland to the original Legoland Park at Billund. With exhibits built of
more than 35 million Lego bricks, enjoy the
“Wonders of the World” all in one
place. There are also museums, restaurants, and shops for your pleasure.
Truly something for everyone. This afternoon travel to the coastal city of
Århus to tour Den Gamle By. Under the patronage of Her Majesty the Queen,
Den Gamle By is a living museum depicting a market village in the time of
Hans Christian Anderson. Dinner and overnight in Århus. |

Friday, July 9 |
| Århus - Frederikshavn -
Gothenburg (B, D) |
| Travel
north along the coast to the seaside town Frederikshavn in “The Land of
Light” so called because the special quality of light here makes it a
favorite place for artists and the long summer days and beautiful white sand
beaches make it favorite of beach goers. Enjoy free time in Frederikshavn
before boarding the ferry for an afternoon cruise across the Kattegatt to
Gothenburg, on the west coast of Sweden. Upon arrival in Gothenburg enjoy a
guided tour of Sweden’s second largest city. Dinner and overnight in
Gothenburg. |

Saturday, July 10 |
| Gothenburg - Trollhattan -
Håverud - Karlstad (B, D) |
| Drive to
Trollhattan to visit the Saab car museum. Here you’ll find old models,
concept cars, innovations, and everything else that made Saab what it is
today. Travel to Håverud to see the amazing aqueduct and visit the Dalsland
Center. One of Europe’s most beautiful waterways, the Dalsland Canal,
connects a labyrinth of lakes, rivers and canal passages, into a 139- mile
navigable lake system. The aqueduct is a meeting between road, rail and
waterway, a free hanging bridge where the water is led in a 36.5-yard long
metal channel above the rapids. Continue to Karlstad for dinner and
overnight. |

Sunday, July 11 |
| Karlstad - Mårbacka -
Medskogs - Vansbro - Rättvik (B, L, D) |
| This
morning travel to Mårbacka, home of Nobel Prize winning author Selma
Lagerlof. Enjoy a delightful traditional Värmland lunch of potatiskorv
before continuing to Rättvik in the tradition rich province of Dalarna, the
Heart of Sweden. Folk music and dance, art, theatre and history, the rich
culture of Dalarna covers a very broad field embracing traditional and
modern art forms equally. Dinner and overnight in Rättvik on the shores of
beautiful lake Siljan. |

Monday, July 12 |
| Rättvik - Nusnäs - Mora -
Tällberg - Rättvik (B, D) |
| This
morning visit centuries old
Rättvik church on the shore
of Lake Siljan.
The many small wooden buildings near the church were once used to stable
horses during the long church services in winter. At Nils Olsson’s Dala
horse factory in Nusnäs watch skilled craftsmen hand carve a Dala Horse in a
matter of minutes. Drive to Mora to tour the impressive home of renowned
artist Anders Zorn, friend and compatriot
of Carl Larsson.
In the village of Tällberg,
known for the rich copper
red color of the buildings, enjoy
free time for relaxing in one of the cafes or shopping in the quaint
shops. Return to Rättvik for dinner
and overnight.

Tuesday, July 13 |
| Rättvik - Sundborn - Avesta
- Uppsala - Stockholm (B, D) |
| In the
village of Sundborn (Dalarna) tour the home and studio of beloved artist
Carl Larsson. Continue to Avesta for a photo stop at the worlds largest Dala
Horse, standing almost 43 feet high and weighing 67 tons. In Uppsala
(Uppland), tour magnificent Uppsala Cathedral, the largest cathedral in
Sweden. Continue to Stockholm, Sweden’s capital. Founded in the early 1200’s
as a fortification to protect Sweden from foreign navies, Stockholm is now
hailed as one of the most beautiful cities in the world. Dinner and
overnight in Stockholm. |

| DAY 9:
Wednesday, July 14 |
| Stockholm (B) |
| Begin the
day with a tour of Stockholm. Enjoy a bird’s eye view of the city from
Fjellgatan Street; visit City Hall, the Wasa Ship Museum, and Gamla Stan
(old Town). Free time in the afternoon. Of interest on your own: shopping in
Gamla Stan or the modern department stores downtown, or see the crown jewels
at the Royal Palace or visit one of the many wonderful museums. Dinner on
your own tonight. Overnight in Stockholm. |

Thursday, July 15 |
| Stockholm - Bergs Slussar -
Gränna - Huskvarna - Eksjö (B, D) |
| Today
travel to Bergs Slussar, probably the most famous locks on the Göta Canal
with no less than seven levels. Drive to the village of Gränna known for
Polkagrisar, the delicious peppermint candy. Enjoy an exciting glass blowing
demonstration by master glassblowers at Gränna Glashytta. Continue to
Huskvarna to visit the Huskvarna museum. Known today for chainsaws, the
Huskvarna Company started 300 years ago with muskets and other weapons for
the Swedish army, adding sewing machines in the 1800’s. In late afternoon,
visit Eksjö for a delightful walking tour of the 17th century “Old Town”
area. Dinner and overnight in Eksjö. |

Friday, July 16 |
| Eksjö - Kosta Boda - Kalmar
- Karlshamm (B, D) |
| Enter the “Crystal Kingdom”,
where you will visit the crystal factory, museum and factory “seconds” store
at 268 year-old Kosta Boda glass works. Travel to Kalmar to tour 800-year
old Kalmar castle, once a vital defense on the Danish border. Demoted in the
1700’s to a prison, and storage facility for salt and grain, Kalmar Castle
is now the most well preserved Renaissance castle in northern Europe.
Continue to the coastal town of Karlshamn for dinner and overnight.

| Karlshamn - Lund - Malmö -
Copenhagen (B, D) |
| This
morning view the “Emigrant Statue” in Karlshamn, honoring Swedish emigrants
to America in the mid-nineteenth century. Travel to Lund to see the Lund
cathedral and the beautiful astronomical clock from 1424. Depart for
“Wonderful Copenhagen”, crossing the Öresund Bridge from Malmö. A tour of
the city of Copenhagen includes, the Little Mermaid, Amalienborg Palace and
more. This evening enjoy a delicious dinner at world famous Tivoli Gardens,
the world’s oldest amusement park. Free time after dinner. Overnight in
Copenhagen. |

| Copenhagen - Return to USA

| Free time
this morning to explore or shop. Of interest on your own: the Glyptotek, the
National Museum, shopping on the Strøget, Copenhagen’s famous walking
street. This afternoon, transfer
to Copenhagen International Airport for departure to the USA. |
