Climate & Clothing:
Temperatures in Scandinavia range from the low 50’s to 70’s in May and September and the high 60’s to 70’’s in June, July and August. It will be cooler in the mountains and you may even see snow in early summer. Expect some cloudy days and some rain. Bring comfortable walking shoes. Dress slacks or skirt and a shirt or sweater is acceptable in hotel dining rooms. Bring an extra sweater, raincoat and umbrella just in case.

Tour Escorts/Tour Guides:
Included in the price of the tours is the assistance of a tour escort who will meet the group at Chicago O’Hare International Airport or Newark Liberty International Airport and be with the tour in its entirety. Smaller groups of less than 15 participants will be met in Scandinavia by an authorized Swedish tour escort/guide who will meet the group upon clearance of customs at the arrival airport in Scandinavia. You will have his/her assistance until the group departs Scandinavia at the end of the tour. In some cases, our American tour escorts are qualified to serve as guides in Scandinavia.

Hotel Accommodations:
Anderson Scandinavian Tours chooses high standard hotels that offer premium comfort, a variety of amenities and excellent service. Most hotels are listed in the itineraries; however, individual rooms may vary as to size, view and location. Please note that some hotels may be different than those listed in this brochure. All hotel changes are of equal or higher quality to those listed in this brochure. All hotels include private bath facilities. Most hotels in Scandinavia are not air-conditioned as the normal summer climate is cool and comfortable.

Baggage Handling:
Baggage handling is included for one piece of luggage per person at hotels. Smaller handbags, overnight bags, carry-ons, cameras, camcorders, and all other personal belongings are the responsibility of the tour participant. Neither Anderson Scandinavian Tours nor the Scandinavian tour or bus companies will be responsible for left items.

Meals:
Many meals are included as specified in the tour itineraries. A Scandinavian breakfast is always included. When dinners are included they are buffet or two course meals with a predetermined menu. If one-course meals are included it will be indicated in the tour description for that particular tour. This year the only tour with one-course dinners is the Sweden’s Backroads tour in July.

Transportation:
Included in the tour price is transportation within Scandinavia by motor coach, minibus/van (eight passengers), ship, train, express boat or ferry. The mode of transportation depends on the size of your group. Motor coaches have a capacity of 26 to 50 persons and are equipped with toilet, refrigerator, air conditioning, and public address systems. Buses under 25 capacity usually do not have toilet facilities. More frequent stops are made with smaller buses. For the convenience of the group, the maximum group size set by Anderson Scandinavian Tours is 40 persons. Our drivers are well-trained experienced people who speak English and become full participants with the group.

Entrance Fees:
All special events, sightseeing excursions, entrance fees, and local guide fees listed or described in the tour itinerary are included.

WHAT OUR TOUR PARTICIPANTS ARE SAYING ABOUT THEIR EXPERIENCES WITH US: " ......
