Racing Dala Horses

When my son was younger and I was not aware of how enticing hand-crafted Swedish Dala Horses can be for a two year old, he grabbed them and bounced them along as though they were racing.

I came in one day and my wife, who is not Swedish, said, "Oh look, isn't that cute?"

I reminded her of how expensive the hand-crafted Dala horses are and how fragile they are.

So then we bought Ben a Dala Horse plush toy and he would not have anything to do with it.
